Top Chef Masters, hosted by Kelly Choi, is Bravo TV's spinoff of Top Chef, where experienced chefs like Rick Bayless, Hubert Keller, and Michael Chiarello do battle for the title. The chefs compete in a Quickfire challenge, then move onto an elimination challenge. The Quickfire challenge is a short challenge that can involve tasting, cooking or preparing food, and is scored on a scale of one to five stars. The elimination challenge gives the chef's a meal to prepare with a twist, such as only using a microwave and hotplate, or the Lost-themed challenge where they were only allowed to use items the Lost cast would have on the island. The elimination challenge is scored by the judges out of 20 stars, and combined with the Quickfire scores. The chef with the highest combined score is the winner and moves on to the champions round. The competition ends in the finale where the stakes are high and the judges include Top Chef head judge Tom Colicchio.MORE
