This Ugly Yet Beautiful World is a Tokyo anime television series about two high school students who discover an alien. Takeru (Takahiro Mizushima in Japanese, Braden Hunt in English) and his friend Ryou (Fujiko Takimoto in Japanese, Quentin Haag in English) are making deliveries for their job when they encounter Hikari (Ayako Kawasumi in Japanese, Cynthia Martinez in English), a woman who just appears and does not have any memories. They name her after the word light because she just appeared in a flash of light. She goes home to live with Takeru, who starts to develop special powers which allow him to transform into a cross between a human and a monster. As time goes on he starts to develop feelings for Takeru and tries to convince her not to bring evil to Earth. See the romantic relationships unfold in this series and see if love will overcome the evil which develops.
