The X Effect

The X Effect is the MTV reality show where a pair of exes, an ex-boyfriend and ex girlfriend spend a weekend together at a resort under the watchful eyes of their new partners. These young people have moved on from their past relationships and have new girlfriends and boyfriends, and claim to be happy in their new situations. MTV wants to shake things up, reuniting them with former loves to see if the grass really is greener on the other side. These former couples are trapped with each other for a whole weekend, and if that isn't tempting enough it's at a romantic resort with candles, hot tubs and more. They arrive with their current loves, and believe that their new significant others are sent home, but MTV secretly has them spying on the exes. They think that they are in private, and feelings and love resurfaces while their new boos watch live on hidden camera. As relationships are put to the test, will these exes choose the old love they lost, or their new love? Will the new love stick around after seeing how they behave during the romantic weekend?
