The Snow Queen is a 2005 anime based on the Hans Christian Anderson story. Kai and Gerda are two best friends. Since they were small children, they have always played together and they love each other very much. On day, unfortunately, the Snow Queen's mirror was smashed. This released shards of evil glass into the unsuspecting world. While out one day, Kai got a piece of the vicious glass in his eye which turned his heart into ice. He began to not care for those he once did. The Snow Queen kidnaps Kai one night and his community begins a search, but ultimately decide he must have drowned in the frozen lake. Gerda still loves Kai, however, and does not believe him to be dead. She had a dream that Kai was kidnapped. Her suspicions are confirmed by an intoxicated neighbor and she decides to search for her lost best friend.MORE
