The Simple Life: 'Til Death Do Us Part

Simple Life Til’ Death Do Us Part starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie is the fourth season of the Simple Life reality series. This season premiered on June 4th, 2006 and marked the departure of the girls working together as a team, as they were allegedly “not speaking” throughout its filming. This was also the first season of the show to be broadcast on E! Entertainment Networks rather than FOX, who had cancelled the series after three seasons. On each episode, Paris and Nicole travel to a Los Angeles household where they take turns playing “housewife” to the host family. The girls take care of general household chores, such as washing the dishes, doing laundry, cleaning the house and making dinner. They struggle with the challenges of motherhood as they try to juggle running a household while looking after energetic children. The duo step into a wide range of roles, from conservative Pakistani housewives to New-Age artists. At the end of each episode, the husband decides which of the two girls succeeded as his “wife.” Though both girls encounter many disastrous moments throughout their days as housewives, one generally comes out on top.
