The Perils of Penelope Pitstop is an animation adventure television series that ran on CBS from 1969 to 1971. One of the two spin-offs from Wacky Races, The Perils of Penelope Pitstop follows the Ant Hill Mob—Clyde (Paul Winchell), Dum Dum (Don Messick), Softy (Paul Winchell), Yak Yak (Mel Blanc), Snoozy (Don Messick), Zippy (Don Messick), and Pockets (Don Messick)—as they work together to protect Penelope Pitstop (Janet Waldo) from The Hooded Claw (Paul Lynde) and The Bully Brothers (Mel Blanc), his henchmen. Penelope’s adventures take place in varied locations, mainly in the United States of America, but also in international destinations, where the resourceful race car driver must come up with ideas to escape The Hooded Claw’s traps, which she always seems to find herself in. After all, while the Ant Hill Mob has good intentions, the results of their attempts to save her are not always what they had in mind. The Perils of Penelope Pitstop is fast-paced fun for the whole family.MORE
