The Partridge Family

The Partridge Family is a 70s sitcom that aired on ABC about the Partridge family- mother Shirley (Shirley Jones), and children Keith (David Cassidy), Laurie (Susan Dey), Danny (Danny Bonaduce), Chris (Jeremy Gelbwaks, later Brian Forster), and Tracy (Suzanne Crough). Their musical career begins when the kids ask their mom to help them record a song in the garage, and Danny finds manager Reuben Kincaid (Dave Madden) to make their song a hit. Later, young neighbor Ricky Stevens (Ricky Segall) joins them to sing children's songs on tour or at home with Shirley and Danny, and he was given an album as a tie-in to the show. They go on tour as a family and often compare life on the road to the suburban home they're used to. They became an entire franchise, with supplementary materials that rocketed David Cassidy to teen idol status and made the show even more popular. The Partridge Family released several albums, although the only members of the cast singing on it were Susan Dey and David Cassidy, with the rest replaced by studio musicians. Those albums included The Partridge Family Album, Up to Date, Sound Magazine, Shopping Bag, The Partridge family Notebook, Bulletin Board, and Greatest Hits. Their popular songs were Come On Get Happy! (their theme song), Echo Valley, Walking In the Rain, I'll Meet You Halfway, I Woke Up In Love this Morning, and their biggest hit, I Think I Love You. MORE
