The Outer Limits

This 1995 revival of The Outer Limits, also known as "The New Outer Limits," was an anthology of science-fiction stories, each exploring its own unique science-fiction premise. Like its predecessor, the show's opening title sequence begins with a bit of pleasing visual gibberish as a control voice calmly assures us: "There is nothing wrong with your television. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are now controlling the transmission." And fittingly. each episode aspired creatively to reach, "from the deepest inner mind to... The Outer Limits." The 1990's iteration of the show would often exit commercial break with a Rod Serling-like voiceover setting up the themes of the week's episode: Human Cloning, Artificial Intelligence, Time Travel, Alien Visitors. The New Outer Limits had a pentient for high profile guest appearances, too. Episodes featured the likes of Beau Bridges, Alyssa Milano, Robert Patrick, William Sadler, and Brent Spiner, just to name a few. MORE
