The Oblongs

The Oblongs is an animated comedic television series created by Angus Oblong and that originally appeared on the WB network before moving on to Adult Swim. The show only aired for 2 seasons and features the voice talents of Will Ferrell, Jean Smart and the Sklar Brothers. It profiles the antics of a not so average American family, The Oblongs, living in "the Valley", a depressingly dark and poor place affected by pollution and radiation. As a result the citizens are hilariously deformed, including the Oblongs- the father Bob(Ferrell) is a stump without any limbs, his wife, Pickles is a hairless alcoholic. Together they raise their freak children as best they know how: poorly! Yes, life is hard for the Oblongs, especially when living the shadow of "the Hills" a rich, lavishly lush and perfect community that is appalled at the Valley. But like any deranged family comedy, things usually work themselves out at the end. MORE
