The Middleman

The Middleman is a science fiction action TV series developed by ABC Family, based on the Viper Comics’s series of the same name, which follows Wendy Watson (Natalie Morales), a skeptical and relatively unfazed artist, as she becomes the sidekick and protégée of the Middleman (Matt Keeslar) The mysterious Middleman is a fixer of “exotic problems”, which can range from mad scientists to talking murdering apes to aliens bent on destruction, and pretty much is what a superhero is like…in the 1950s. He’s a throwback to the times when young men said ‘aw shucks’, never swore, and had an unhealthy obsession with getting their daily glasses of milk. Wendy learns that no one quite knows whom or what the Middleman is outside of the fact it’s a job title, not a person, and that their missions are sent from the O2STK, an Organization Too Secret to Know. Each day is an unknown adventure but Wendy has got her work cut off for her in the rush to balance the Middleman with the rest of her life. MORE
