The Life And Times Of Vivienne Vyle is a British comedy series that originally aired on BBC 2 in 2007. The series chronicles the life of Vivienne Vyle (Jennifer Saunders), talk show host and a former weather woman, intent on balancing her home life with new-found fame. Based on real life talk show host, Jeremy Kyle, Vivienne Vyle's talk show focuses on the sad, sensational and downright raunchy topics of daytime television. With episodes like, "My son calls the wrong man daddy," and "I want a vagina but I can't kick the crack," this spoof of exploitation talk shows is a hard-edged satire. Supporting characters include Psychotherapist Jonathan Fowler (Jason Watkins), Miriam (Christopher Ryan) the transsexual PR advisor, and Vivienne's gay karaoke-loving husband, Jarad (Conleth Hill). Co-written by psychologist Tanya Brown, The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle was created with the aim of being a black comedy based on pop psychology.MORE
