The Jon Dore Television Show, a mockumentary sitcom, stars Canadian actor and comedian Jon Dore. Created in 2007, the series has aired two seasons with a total of 26 episodes broadcast on The Comedy Network. Each episode begins with Dore experiencing some kind of life crisis or pondering the solution to a global problem. Each episode's plot is fairly simple, as demonstrated with titles like 'Jon Fights Discrimination,' 'John Gets Horny,' and 'John Gets Old.' Dore has a series of interview with real-life people in which Dore asks preposterous questions and poses ridiculous situations. Each of the interviews help to further the plot of each episode, with Dore fully aware of the camera throughout, regularly breaking the fourth wall. One of the few recurring characters, Susan Lynne acts as Dore's therapist throughout the series. A real-life Toronto based therapist, Lynne was approached by the producers to be a voice of reason to Dore's insanity. The Jon Dore Television Show was canceled after the initial two-season run, but has found success throughout North American in syndication.MORE
