The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty is an American reality television program that ran for one season, totaling six episodes, on A&E Network. The show stars members of the musically-talented, drama-prone Jackson family, in particular Jermaine Jackson, Jackie Jackson, Marlon Jackson, and Tito Jackson, as well as a theme song that was composed in a collaborative effort between the late Michael Jackson and sibling Jackie Jackson. The series was originally intended to be a single one-hour special about the musical group The Jacksons, minus lead singer Michael Jackson, but ended up becoming more about the Jackson family after Michael Jackson’s death in June 2009, when the show became contracted as a series. The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty has attracted much controversy since its inception from critics who say that it highlight childish sibling rivalry and pettiness in grown men, showing that the desire to live in the past and never grow up may be a family issue rather than just one that the late Michael Jackson faced alone.MORE
