The Incredible Hulk

The Incredible Hulk is a live-action television series that aired on CBS from 1978 to 1982 based loosely on the Marvel comic book of the same name. The show follows Doctor David Banner, who has been forced to wander endlessly from place to place because of his alternate identity as the transformed monster The Hulk. David Banner was experimenting with gamma radiation when his experiment went awry and he was exposed to unintentionally high levels of gamma rays. The result is that when he experiences emotional stress, his body transforms into a extremely large, green-skinned sub-human monster with super strength. After being spotted leaving a fire he didn't cause, the Hulk is blamed for the death of a scientist and Dr. David Banner and a manhunt ensues for the Hulk. Banner is thus assumed dead and must take fake names and odd jobs everywhere he goes until he can find a cure for his condition. No matter how hard he tries, the Hulk emerges as Banner consistently finds himself in dangerous and stressful situations. The Hulk retains elements of Banner's good nature, allowing him to use his powers for the good of others. Bill Bixby plays the role of Doctor David Banner and Lou Ferrigno plays the role of The Hulk.
