The IFC Media Project is an American documentary-styled television series produced by the International Film Channel in the US. The show attempts to uncover the truth and inconsistencies behind the events portrayed by the media. The show was first hosted by the famous Gideon Yago, who is best known for his role on MTV. The IFC Media Project primarily tackles controversial topics in the media using in-depth interviews and live footage. The series opens with an episode called "The Future of the News" where Yago muses that the future of true media coverage and journalism is bleak. In the third season, the IFC media project underwent some changes in which Yago left the show, and the show's format was changed from a magazine-style presentation to short documentaries. Many important figures in media and journalism have been featured on the show including Arianna Huffington, Dan Rather, Max Blumenthal, Nir Rosen, Charlie LeDuff, and Andrew Berends, to name a few. If you enjoyed Gideon's style on MTV, and an alternative perspective on current events, be sure to catch at least one episode of The IFC Media Project. Two thumbs up!MORE
