The Glades is a dramatic television series on A&E about Jim Longworth, a Chicago homicide detective who relocates to Palm Glade, Florida after being shot by his partner, who mistakenly believed Jim was sleeping with his wife. Jim's new district seems to have more in the way of sunshine and relaxation than crime, until bodies start surfacing and he has to switch his focus from his golf swing to solving murders. Instead of the smooth transition he expected, he finds himself trying to date a medical student with plenty of emotional baggage, solving a multitude of homicide cases, and trying to improve his short game in his free time. Jim discovers that even somewhere that might seem like blue skies and golf greens has even more of a complicated crime scene than the one he left behind.
