The Cleaner is a TV drama that aired on the A&E Channel from January 5, 2008 to September 15, 2009. The show revolves around William "The Cleaner" Banks (Benjamin Banks), a drug addict. Banks makes a deal with God after his daughter Lula (Liliana Mumy) is born. The deal is that if God gives him a second chance, he will no longer use drugs and will help people who suffer from drug and alcohol addictions. Banks teams up with Akani Cuesta (Grace Park) and Arnie Swenton (Esteban Powell) to keep his end of his deal and help others with addictions. In addition to doing this work, he also runs a store that sells surfing equipment. Most episodes show Banks talking to God, asking for guidance on what to do in stressful situations, while also thanking Him for being alive. Other than Lula, his wife Melissa Banks (Amy-Price Francis) is his biggest motivation to stay clean and continue helping others.MORE
