The Cape

The Cape is a super-hero action series from NBC. It centers around family man, Vince Faraday (David Lyons), who puts his son to bed with comic books about the fictional character "The Cape." Vince is a good cop, perhaps the last one in Palm City, which is otherwise embroiled in corruption and sin. When a criminal syndicate lead by the evil mastermind, Chess (James Frain), frames Vince for murder and sets him loose with a mask stapled to his head, circumstance sends the police gunning after him. Thought dead, Vince survives the ordeal by crawling into a sewer. There, he is rescued by a mysterious circus ringmaster named Max Malini (Keith David), who trains him in the ways of illusion and acrobatics, and gives him a powerful cape made of spider silk, "stronger than Kevlar, thinner than filament." With these new tools, Vince adopts the identity of his son's favorite comic book character, and becomes... The Cape. MORE
