The Big Valley

The Big Valley is an American Western television series that ran from 1965 to 1969 on ABC, starring Linda Evans, Peter Breck, Barbara Stanwyck, Lee Majors, and Richard Long. In this Western, Victoria Barkley (Barbara Stanwyck) is a widowed woman and head of the wealthy, powerful Barkley family living in late 19th century Stockton in California’s central valley. Between dealing with bank robbers, horse thieves, revolutionaries, land grabbers, and her late husband’s illegitimate son, Victoria Barkley has her hands full. She does not let that stop her, however, from using her influence and wealth to help less fortunate homesteaders build up their own pieces of the American dream in the Wild, Wild West. This show is not one to miss, with plenty of fun for the whole family.
