The Beast is an American cop drama starring Patrick Swayze on the A&E Network. Charles Barker (Swayze) is a veteran FBI Agent that specializes in going undercover for the sake of setting up the most wanted criminals for long and hard time in prison. Barker has a knack for thinking and acting like a criminal. So much so that the FBI thinks he might be in too deep. Now the agency has partnered him with Ellis Dove (Travis Fimmel), a rookie agent, so that he learn the ins and outs of what it takes to infiltrate criminal organizations so that they may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Barker regularly pushes the boundaries of the law on how he goes about his undercover work. He is under investigation for alleged misconduct by internal affairs. With IA pressing the rookie for information, Dove must decide if what he is learning on the job and his loyalty to Barker is worth giving up. Both men are inevitably lured into the deep dark criminal circles that will test their sanity, families, and career.
