The Awful Truth was a short-lived documentary-style program on Bravo hosted by political dissident Michael Moore. Each episode featured short documentaries on various topics that poked fun of America's political culture and its status quo in Moore's typical satirical style. The show takes advantage of Moore's guerilla-style video taping as he is able to get raw footage inside of corporate buildings, political offices...even Disney World. Throughout the two seasons, Moore confronts insurance companies that refuse to pay for a live-saving operation by staging a mock-funeral outside of their office In response to the political "witch hunting" in D.C., Moore assembles his own pitchfork-wielding group of hysterical witch hunters to create pandemonium in the nation's capital. Towards the end of the show's run, Moore pushes the boundaries even further, promising potential presidential candidates his support of they participate in The Awful Truth's own mosh pit. Moore never shows his cards throughout, always keeping in character in a world, as he would lead you to believe, full of actors.MORE
