That Mitchell and Webb Look” is a Sketch Show starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb, a popular British duo. The show’s first season began airing in September 2006, after the cancellation of Mitchell and Webb’s first television sketch show “The Mitchell and Webb Situation” and their radio show “That Mitchell and Webb Sound.” In fact, any of the sketches and characters in “Look” were taken directly from “Sound.” The duo’s individual comedy compliments each other well. Robert Webb’s absurd world view works perfectly with David Mitchell’s need to point out how wrong everybody else is. Arguably, the show’s most popular sketch is Numberwang, a nonsensical game show in which contestants yell numbers and the host shouts “THAT’S NUMBERWANG!” Mitchell and Webb met at Cambridge University, performing in the legendary Cambridge Footlights, and started writing together in 1995.
