Swords: Life on the Line

Swords is a documentary TV series developed by the Discovery Channel that follows the crew of multiple fishing boats as they take to some of the most dangerous waters off the coast of New England in search of the predatory fish, the swordfish. Watch the crews of the Fairhaven, Massachusetts crews of the fruitful Eagle Eye II and the Sea Hawk, the Wanchese, North Carolina crew of the Big Eye, and the youngest boat of Frances Anne from Barnegat Light, New Jersey as they try to make a living while battling an elusive prey, stormy weathers, and the luck of the draw in working equipment. While swordfishing might seem simple as any other type of fishing, it tends to be a hard job to take to as the swordfish sticks to lonely journeys and fighting to its death to evade capture. For the Eagle Eye II, they fight for the fish against overcrowding and bigger predators in the likes of sharks. The Sea Hawk's Captain, Linda Greenlaw has to decide the fate of her ship if this year is to be her last. The Big Eye has to come to rights with their chosen destination before a fishing line ends up in the propeller. The Frances Anne has its own problems of dealing with a novice deckhand who almost costs them their catch while running out of space for their haul.
