S.W.A.T. is the ABC TV show that follows the action as the WCPD's Olympic Division Special Weapons And Tactics, or S.W.A.T., team fights crime. The team is led by Lieutenant "Hondo" Harrelson (Steve Forrest), with his second-in-command "Deke" (Rod Perry). A spin-off from "The Rookies" the show burst onto the scene with its hit theme song by Rhythm Heritage and high-octane action-packed crime fighting. The highly trained elite members of the S.W.A.T. team go on covert missions that are deemed too dangerous for the regular LAPD officers to handle.
