Swamp Thing

Swamp Thing is a television series which debuted on the USA Network on July 27, 1990. The series covered 72 episodes and ended early on May 1, 1993. The early shut down left several well-written scripts unused for the series, though viewers were not disappointed when the Sci-Fi channel picked up the series and began airing re-runs and is now available on Chiller in film form. The cast of Swamp Thing features the original actor/stuntman Dick Durock who returned to continue his earlier role in the movie The Return of Swamp Thing. The original costume was adjusted to compensate for Durock's perspiration which originally caused parts of the make up for the costume to fall off. Durock put a large amount of dedicated work into his role as Swamp Thing, with a six days per week schedule that covered the first 50 episodes of the classical sci-fi cult series. Mixed reviews of the series abound, but the fan base for the show spreads across the world, creating a large pool of viewers for the show even today. MORE
