Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro is the inspiring documentary special that aired on MTV in March, 2010. The show followed a group of actors, scientists, musicians, activists and doctors as they climbed all 19,340 feet of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. Kenna, a Grammy-nominated artist, created the project with the desire to do something about the global water crisis. According to Kenna, he chose to climb a treacherous mountain because "we are doing this extreme thing to qualify the extreme nature of the issue." Other famous members of the crew that scaled Kilimanjaro include Jessica Biel (Valentine's Day), Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild, Speed Racer), rapper Lupe Fiasco, explorer Alexandra Cousteau (granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau), and more. The main goal of the program is to spread the word about water distribution. More than 1 billion people around the world don't have access to clean drinking water, programs like Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro hope to change that.MORE
