Summerland

Summerland is a television series about the life of Bradin (Jesse McCartney), Nikki (Kay Panabaker), and Derrick (Nick Benson) after a horrible car accident kills their parents. Ava Gregory (Lori Loughlin), the kids' aunt, gains full custody of the children and moves them to her home in California. Ava is a struggling clothes designer and is living with her best friend, Susannah Rexford (Merrin Dungey), another friend, Jay Robertson (Ryan Kwanten), and an ex-boyfriend of hers, Johnny Durrant (Shawn Christian). Ava has a lot on her plate with her career, the new children in the home, and an internal struggle to fight feelings for Johnny. Johnny is portrayed as the father figure for the children. Bradin starts to drink and do drugs, and is getting arrested, too. Nikki is just trying to fit in. Early on in the show, she meets a boy whom she constructs a strong relationship with. Derrik starts feeling attached to Johnny and the two become great friends. MORE
