Sucks Less with Kevin Smith, a series of 8-minute episodes produced in conjunction with MTVu, stars filmmaker Kevin Smith as he informs and instructs at least three UCLA students on how to make their weekend suck less. The featured students are all enrolled in class on cinematography taught by the veteran filmmaker. As part of the class they travel to various destinations in search of entertainment opportunities for the typical low-on-funds, high-on-life college student. In the first episode, Smith instructs Ethan to go to Disneyland to experience the Halloween fest. Ethan instead goes to Arizona to go to one of the most expansive haunted houses in the country. Ben goes to the Roller Derby in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo neighborhood, and Cat goes to the Roxy to see nerdcore rapper mc chris. In the second episode the students go to a turtle race, a clothing optional hot springs, and a design studio. Sucks Less with Kevin Smith aired four episodes throughout the semester-long course.MORE
