Strike Witches 2

Strike Witches 2 is the second series in the Japanese anime series Strike Witches. It was produced by AIC and aired from July 7th, 2010 to September 23rd, 2010. It was later acquired for North American release by Funimation Entertainment. The series follows the fight to protect the Earth through both magic and technology. The main characters are the Strike Witches, a group of young women with magical potential. The women are recruited into military groups across the world to fight the mysterious Neuroi, an alien race that attacked humanity beginning in the year 1939. The Neuroi attack through strange aircraft and the spreading of a deadly, corrosive miasma. However this miasma can not spread across water, so humanity has used watery areas as main defense lines. From these defense lines the strike witches attack using machines on their legs called Striker Units. These Striker Units give the women the ability to fly. This flying, mixed with their magical powers, make them the final defense against the Neuroi. MORE
