Shirts & Skins, a 6 episode reality television series broadcast on the LOGO network, is the story of The Rockdogs, a San Francisco all-gay basketball team. Having won three gold medals at the Gay Games, the series follows six of the players as they struggle to uphold their championship. The six featured players are Mike Survillion, Rory Ray, Peter Hannibal, Chris Johnson, Jamel Lewis, and DeMarco Majors. Documenting the month before the Gay Games, each of the six players struggle to set aside their differences as they live together while preparing themselves for the competition in Chicago. Each bring their own drama and frustrations with competing and living together, but eventually their struggles pay off. Nominated for a 2008 GLAAD media award, Shirts & Skins featured gay professional athletes, John Amaechi and Sheryl Swoopes, as guest stars. Produced by Eddie October, William Kendall, and Dave Mace Shirts & Skins achieved moderate success in its initial broadcast.MORE
