Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century is an animated science fiction TV series developed by DiC Entertainment that follows a rejuvenated Detective Sherlock Holmes, who in his eccentricity had his body preserved in a honey-filled coffin, as he continues his quest to take down the infamous Professor James Moriarty, the sole man Holmes ever considered on par with his own intellect With the help of Inspector Lestrade's descendant Inspector Beth Lestrade and the eerie Dr. Watson-like law enforcement robot, affectionately called Watson to get used to the 2100s, Holmes utilizes his still sharp wits to find out just why Moriarty is still running about with his henchman, the deformed French geneticist Martin Fenwick. Many of the episodes are updated to the hi-tech age of the new century in a mixture of old school detective work and the glitzy technology of the future. MORE
