Secrets of Aspen

Secrets of Aspen is a reality TV show on VH1 that explores the ski town of Apsen, Colorado, known as a vacation spot to visitors who travel there to stay at its resorts, but known to its full time residents as a town of drama, nightlife, and wealth. The show follows six single women in their 30s and 40s- former beauty queen Brooke, South Beach native Erin, masseuse Kat, queen bee Laura, well-connected Shana, and newly single Star. Asoen has become the most expensive zip code with $6.5 million price tags on the average home. Some of these women have got the cash, but some are just keeping up appearances, and some must even-gasp!- work to pay the rent and maintain the Aspen lifestyle. The friction between the upper and middle class grows as the gap between them does, with only the wealthiest being able to claim residence in the exclusive 5,000 person town that grows to hold 40,000 a few times a year. The small town nature leads to dating difficulties, and everyone knowing everyone’s business- even if it isn’t true. And in a group of single women who claim to be friends, you can be sure that some are actually enemies and no shortage of backstabbing will occur. Friends or frenemies, these six are part of each other’s lives as they struggled to find-and keep- both a house and a husband, with plenty of stops for drinking, betrayal, parties, gossip, and promiscuity in between.
