Saul of the Mole Men is a live action television series that ran on Cartoon Network’s adult swim programming block from February to July 2007. Saul Malone (Josh Gardner) works for STRATA, a government science agency currently drilling into the earth’s core. When the drill ship crashes, the STRATA team stumbles upon a land ruled by Mole Men. Saul does not ingratiate himself with the local population. During his stay, he spreads new diseases, wounds their leader, and kills their god. While Saul acts as the main character, the plot of the show spans all kinds of genres including time travel, vampirism, and thrilling political intrigue. Created by Craig Lewis, a veteran cartoon writer, the show only lasted for one 20-episode season.
