Sasami: Magical Girls Club is a Japanese anime series and a spin-off from the popular series Tenchi Muyo! that follows a team of young girls who are developing some strange magical powers that they must learn to control and use wisely. The story focuses on Sasami Iwakura, a girl who has possessed magical abilities since birth. However, her parents feared the consequences of her powers and forbid Sasami from using them ever since she was three years old. Sasami continues to use her powers in secret as a young woman, until her cooking teacher Washu recognizes her abilities at school. Washu is no stranger to magic, and she organizes several of the girls at school into a club where they can practice magic and learn to use their powers for good. Along with her new friends Misao Shinohara, Makoto Hozumi, Tsukasa Takamine, and Anri Misugi, Sasami's life is about to change forever as she finally embraces her magical potential.
