Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon is a 1992 Japanese anime based on the media franchise created by Naoko Takeuchi. It tells the story of Sailor Moon (Tracey Moore, Terri Hawkes, Linda Ballantyne), the leader of a group of female super powered "Sailor Scouts" who do battle with the forces of darkness. In her day-to-day life, she is actually Usagi Tsukino, a young and very sweet teenage girl. Initially hesitant to take on her role as a Sailor Scout, with the help of her talking cat Luna (Jill Frappier) and her other friends, she eventually comes to accept her destiny. The enigmatic Tuxedo Mask (Rino Romano, Toby Proctor, Vince Corazza) is also there to serve as her love interest. The series ran for more than 200 half hour episodes, making it one of the longest running Japanese animes to feature women as the primary characters.
