Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs

Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs is an animated television series that aired in the United States from 1987 to 1988. Saber Rider an English version of the Japanese anime series titled Star Musketeer Bismarck that aired in 1984. The American run was a combination of footage from the original series and new footage created specifically for American audiences. The show brings the familiar old west settings into outer space known as the New Frontier. Like the old west, this brought opportunity along with danger. To stem the tide of unwanted acts, Earth creates the Cavalry Command to police the stars. The most elite squadron of the Cavalry Command is known as the Star Sheriffs. The Star Sheriffs act mainly to protect the New Frontier against the Vapor Beings. Vapor Beings are from a different dimension and are trying to conquer and rule the New Frontier. Within the Star Sheriffs is the Ramrod Equalizer Unit lead by Saber Rider. Along with the rest of his unit including Fireball, Colt, Commander Eagle, and his daughter, April Eagle, the Ramrod Equalizer Unit of the Cavalry Command protect the New Frontier against the nefarious Vapor Beings.
