Roommates

Roommates” is a sitcom from ABC Family that focuses on a group of recent college graduates who move in together as roommates in New York City. Although the show revolves mainly around Mark, (Tyler Francavilla), who has moved to New York in hopes of beginning his acting career, the show involves 4 other characters: Katie (Dorian Brown), Hope, (Tamera Mowry), James (Tommy Dewey), and Thom (David Weidoff). Upon learning that Katie, Mark’s secret high school crush, is looking for a roommate in the city, Mark jumps at the opportunity to be in Katie’s company and agrees to live with her. What follows is the constant attempts made by Mark to woo her in. Katie is oblivious to Mark’s advances, partly due to the fact that she is not yet over her ex boyfriend, and instead feels Mark is merely offering friendly support. Hope faces her own dilemma. After being laid off from her job at a television studio, she is longing for an upscale job. James enjoys watching Mark try to win over Katie’s heart, and Thom is Mark’s ex-roommate who decides to help Mark in his mission to unite with Katie. When these five characters, all armed with very different motives, live in the same quarters, we are entertained in this sitcom from ABC Family. MORE
