River Monsters

River Monsters is a fishing documentary show from Animal Planet that travels the globe in search of mysterious beasts lurking in the shadows of the world's rivers. Biologist and fishing enthusiast Jeremy Wade hosts the program. He highlights the legends surrounding some of these fierce predators, especially chilling stories of fish attacking humans. Wade focuses on the feeding habits of these scary swimmers and tries to determine if they actually developed a taste for human flesh of if the truth has been lost in lore. To do this, he throws caution to the wind and steps into the dangerous natural habitat of these predators, attempting to locate and maybe even catch one of the illustrious critters. As Wade navigates the perilous waterways, he encounters many of these monsters, and sometimes struggles to escape in one piece.
