Repo Games is the Spike TV reality game show that puts a fun twist on the tough task of repossessing from debtors. The show is produced by the producers of Jersey Shore, who are trying to repeat their success with a game show twist. Inspired by the tough economy, the show gives these everyday people who have fallen into debt a second chance. Repossession is when a financial institution takes back something that was used as collateral, rented, or leased. Basically, if you don't pay for something like your car lease, the repo men come a-knocking, and they aren't known to be friendly. Now Spike TV is sending out a new kind of repo man, as they follow real-life repo men Josh Lewis and Tom Detone. These repo men head to the streets to get back these cars, but with a twist. These desperate debtors want to keep their cars, and this duo of repo men are giving them a second chance. They give debtors one last chance to keep their cars, asking them five questions to try to win it back. If they get three answers correct, they pay off their car and return it to them.
