Quest for the Bay is the PBS series that follows 8 average people as they take on an epic adventure. This living history series puts 7 men and one women on a trip of a lifetime, reliving the adventures of the Hudson Bay Company fur traders of the 1840's. The crew heads out on a difficult journey, retracing the steps that the traders took from Winnipeg to the Hudson Bay. The epic 1200 kilometer journey is a tough one even today, but the crew chosen for the journey is taking it on in a historically accurate York Boat. Traveling in their handmade 40 ft. wooden boat, with only historically accurate provisions, the crew rows 12 to 14 hours a day. Over 500 people applied to go on the once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and the one woman of the crew, RoseAnna Schick was the winner. Along with her seven other tripmen, she experiences a life-changing voyage that profoundly changed her outlook, attitude, and future.
