Pumpkin Scissors

Pumpkin Scissors is set in the fictional Royal Empire, a region just beginning to recover from a devastating war with rival power the Republic of Frost. In peacetime, the Empire is hounded by plagues, starvation, and ex-soldiers who have turned to crime to survive. The people of the Empire are in desperate need of protection, and their prayers are answered when the military establishes the Imperial Army State Section III aka the Pumpkin Scissors unit. The series begins when retired soldier Corporal Randel Oland (Kenta Miyake, Adam Dudley) joins the Pumpkin Scissors team. Throughout their adventures, Section III must overcome the distrust of both the military, who believe that their mission is counterproductive to the war effort, and the people they serve, who are suspicious of any government agents. Through their persistent efforts Corporal Oland, 2nd Lieutenant Alice L. Malvin (Shizuka Itou, Kaytha Coker), and the rest of the Pumpkin Scissors unit begin to gain the respect of the people - but can they diffuse a tense standoff between the military and the Empire's civilians?
