Pink Panther and Pals

Pink Panther and Pals is a Cartoon Network animated series reboot of the classic Pink panther cartoons of the past that first appeared in the Pink Panther movies starring Peter Sellers. The show carries the spirit and style of the old shorts including its plot lines, musical background and use of silent acting by the characters. The Pink Panther is the star as always, but this particular version has him aged as a teenager. The show makes use of this change by having the Panther engage in youth-oriented activities like skating and playing musical instruments loudly. His antics are the same as ever, as many of the old secondary characters like "The Little Man" make the mundane an adventure for the Panther. Things don't always work out for the Panther, but he never lets it affect his suave attitude. The show continues the tradition of placing the Panther in various situations and time periods that are can be either steeped in day-to-day activites or complete fantasy. Another update of a DePatie-Frelong cartoon is The Ant and the Aardvark, and each episode features one segment of the cartoon in between the two Pink Panther segments. MORE
