Samantha Brown: Passport to China is a reality travel show developed by the Travel Channel that follows its host Samantha Brown as she takes in the sights, sounds, and tastes of what the great nation of China has to offer any traveler. Her trip begins with the festivities at the opening of the 2008 Olympic Summer Games in Beijing before dining on the unusual fare of scorpions and starfish while visiting a traditional Chinese home. Her trip takes her throughout China from Beijing to Sichuan and Xi’an. Some of the sights she takes in are the expansive Great Wall, the ancient and formidable Terra Cotta Warriors, the legendary 600-year-old Xi’an Bell Tower, and even playing with the cuddly vulnerable Red Pandas.
