One Big Happy Family is a reality show that began airing on TLC on December 29, 2009. The show centers around the Coles family, an African American family from Indian Trail, NC. The difference between the Coles and an average American family is their size; each member is considered morbidly obese. One Big Happy Family shows the everyday struggles the Coles have to go through, both physically and emotionally. Tameka Coles is the mother of the family. Because of her two jobs, she claims that she has little time to exercise. Norris Coles is the family's father. He is a stay-at-home father, but does sell garage sale items for some pocket-money. At age 17, Amber Coles is the older of the two children. She is part of the Flag Corps at school. Shayne Coles is the youngest member of the family.
