October Road was a drama that aired on ABC and starred Bryan Greenberg, Laura Prepon, Geoff Stults, Warren Christie, and Tom Berenger. The series centers on Nick Garrett (Bryan Greenberg), who left his Massachusetts hometown ten years ago to backpack across Europe for a few weeks. Nick never came back, instead becoming a successful New York City author of a best-selling novel centered on the people he know back home, betraying those he loved. Suffering from writing block while working on his next novel, his agent suggests he return home for a one-day writing seminar at the town’s local college. There, he encounters his old girlfriend Hannah (Laura Prepon) and her new fiancée, Nick’s high school enemy Ray (Warren Christie), both of who aren’t happy with Nick’s deception. Hannah has a young 10-year old son, who shares several telling traits with Nick. His old best friend Eddie (Geoff Stults) is also annoyed with Nick’s broken promises and Nick’s father Bob (Tom Berenger) has also been adversely affected by Nick’s absence.
