Occult Academy is an anime published by Aniplex and directed by Tomohiko Ito. The series is based on a school known for occult occurrences. The school itself resembles a fortress rather than an educational building, giving plenty of room for spooky encounters and high school hilarity. The principal of the school was a master of the occult and is survived by his daughter, Kamashiro Maya, who despises everything occult related. Kamashiro and several other characters fill the series with interesting encounters, including the slowly emerging background story of Uchida Fumiaki, a time travelling student from 2012 who fell back through time to the present year of 1999. Overall, the series is a good pick for viewers who appreciate a lighter take on the spooky happenings mixed with the high school atmosphere of the show which aired from July 5, 2010 to September 27, 2010 and covered 13 full-length episodes before its eventual removal from the network programming.MORE
