Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors is a SBS show starring award-winning actress Jang Seo Hee (of Temptation of Wife fame) as a doctor faced with tough circumstances but armed with a strong will and a desire to pick herself up and carry on. Seo Hye Young (Jang Seo Hee) is a young and talented obstetrician with a bright future, but is forced into a life altering decision by one of her patients. One day, a client of hers, after already giving birth to a disabled child, begs Seo Hye Young to perform an abortion operation on the new child that she carries inside her. Seo Hye Young agrees to perform the surgery, but when her act is discovered by her counterparts, she is immediately blacklisted from her prestigious city hospital and banished to an unsophisticated rural hospital. Through all of this, Seo Hye Young herself is pregnant through an adulterous affair and struggles to hide her pregnancy as she decides what to do with her unborn child. At her new hospital, Seo Hye Young is drawn to the young pediatrician Lee Sang Shik (Ko Joo Won) as well as confronted with a past friend Wang Jae Sook (Suh Ji Suk).
