NOVA's Making Stuff with David Pogue

NOVA's Making Stuff with David Pogue is the PBS series where technology reporter David Pogue shows viewers the materials that will shape the future. Pogue is a technology writer, columnist, and commentator who has worked for the New York Times, CBS News Sunday Morning, and CNBC. He has written and co-written many books on technology, including seven titles in the For Dummies series, and his own how-to books called the Missing Manual series. Born in Ohio to an attorney father, David went to Yale University, graduating with a Distinction in Music. He spent a decade working for the Office of Music Theatre International, while moonlighting as a Broadway musical conductor. In 2000 he began serving as the New York Times personal-tech columnist, with a weekly column, State of the Art. Now David is working with NOVA to bring a mini-series called Making Stuff, where he explores the latest in materials science. From carbon nanowires to spider silk made from goats, stab-proof clothing, invisibility cloaks, smart pills and much more.
