Nodame Cantabile is a comedic romantic drama TV series developed by J.C. Staff based on the manga series of the same name by Tomoko Ninomiya that follows the life of Megumi Noda, an extremely talented piano student at the Momogaoka College of Music, as she lives, loves, and grows thanks to her friendship and eventual relationship with Shinichi Chiaki. The two could not be any more different ' Nodame is messy and disorganized with a passion for eating and little skills in reading music while Chiaki is an uptight perfectionist always annoyed by other people's musical styles. They do however push the other to become better people and musicians. Chiaki helps Nodame gain enough confidence in playing solos as well as working with sheet music. Nodame lets Chiaki discover the strengths of individuals rather than his own rigid idea of music.
