NewsRadio is an NBC sitcom about the struggles of a New York City radio station director as he tries to gain control of the oddball staff and acclimate to the demanding job. Dave Foley plays Dave Nelson, a fish-out-of-water from the Midwest. He's young and naïve, qualities that make it difficult for him to earn the respect and obedience of his co-workers. The staff at WNYX never makes things easy for Dave. News anchor Bill McNeal, played by Phil Hartman, is egocentric and insubordinate. Lisa Miller, played by Maura Tierney, has several roles at the radio station and becomes Dave's love interest, despite being his opposite in most ways. Andy Dick plays Matthew Brock, the awkward reporter whose general incompetence often leads him into dangerous situations. Rounding out the talented cast are Joe Rogan and Vicki Lewis, as well as Jon Lovitz who took over for Phil Hartman after Hartman's death in 1998. NewsRadio aired for five successful seasons and remains a much-loved American comedy. MORE
